Mazigazi Band Afrobeat Sensations
Mazigazi is an African music band from Olympia,Washington. They started with only family and have grown to a nine-member band. Inspired by African tribal rhythms and musical traditions, their music focuses on cultural experience, environment, and emphasis message of co-existence in a world where differences tend to pull us apart. Though Mazigazi is an African based band, they draw their influence from a wide range of genres from many different places. With the unique and magical blend of Swahili, a widely spoken language in East and Central Africa along with English, their music connects with their fans while sending a strong message.
Daniel Walker New Zealand Solo Guitarist
Dan is a wall of sound. His guitar is so battered and taped but for very good reason. The musical notes he produces from it are absolute genius. Every song is well crafted blend of subtle ballads to blinding flamenco solos. Often compared to great guitar players like Tommy Emmanuel or Leo Kottke, Dan always remained humbled wherever he performs in the world. Never afraid to push the limits of his guitar and always happy to play.
